"Schools for the deaf should 
work together." - MCCID Head

r. Jojo  Esposa Jr., MCCID Training Director stressed the need for deaf post-secondary    schools to work together for a common beneficiary, the hearing impaired.

  During his informal  visit  with Dr. Liza Martinez, DLSU-College of St. Benilde Director for School of Special Studies, he pointed out that institutions helping the deaf  should not compete against each other, but  rather share one another's resources.

  His visit together with MCCID students coincides with the week-long celebration of CSB's Deaf Festival '97 last January 24.  They  prepared    some  exciting      parlor games and deaf exhibits.

  For her part, Dr. Martinez  offered the school's resources in    creating  a  coordinated network  for the deaf especially in looking for jobs, problems of  fraternities,

and the like.

There are currently three schools offering Certificates and Bachelors Degree Programs  for  the  deaf  within Metro Manila: Miriam College (mainstream-ing),CAP College SFD and DLSU-

College of St. Benilde.

    MCCID on the other hand, is offering a two-year  post-secondary technical-vocational training  program  for  the  deaf focusing  on computer and its applications.

* NOVA MANAGEMENT CORP.,  for winning the "Apolinario Mabini Employer of the Year" Award  for 1996!!! NOVA currently employs some of our deaf graduates and actively supports our foundation.

* MANILA CHRISTIAN COMPUTER AND TECHNICAL INSTITUTE for their 9th Anniversary this coming March 22, 1997.  MCCID is the foundation arm of MCCCTI.
